The Municipality is issuing a Request for Proposal in order to identify qualified consulting firms or individuals with expertise to: Develop a job evaluation process that includes the following components: Collection of job information. Revised position descriptions that outline and define responsibilities, accountabilities and major tasks for each unique job. Provides a job evaluation tool that can be used going forward. Ensure that a new job evaluation process and compensation program meet Pay Equity requirements, analysis and classification requirements for all non-union and union jobs. Provide a comprehensive, competitive (market review) and sustainable compensation program. Provides a pay structure with clear and identifiable benchmarks and salary ranges for all full-time, part-time and seasonal non-union and union positions. Provides a salary administration policy that guides and supports the compensation program in future years. Provide support for the implementation of the program. The new job evaluation process will meet Pay Equity requirements for analyzing and classifying all jobs and the Consultants will assist with the implementation of the job evaluation process. The Municipality’s new compensation program will meet Pay Equity requirements, be sustainable and competitive. The process to deliver the compensation program will include an implementation process. The firm or individual selected will have experience in the review, assessment and implementation of municipal job evaluation and compensation systems.
